II.Reflection

Text to Self:
This article relates to me in the way that I have been out-voted by a majority like the Republicans were with the Healthcare Bill. The majority (Democrats) quickly voted for what they wanted themselves instead of thinking how other people would feel about having the bill forced onto them. It was like when I was with a group for a project and the rest of the group immediately chose a topic they wanted but it turned out to be a dead end in information and made everyone frustrated. Democrats have decided too quickly to make a bill that affects everyone without thinking of the consequences that it would cause.

Text to Text:
This article relates to something I read about Germany's government before and during World War 2. Before the war the Nazi party started to take the majority of the seats in Germany's government promising changes for the better but only created changes that made everything a thousand times worse. They forced laws and restrictions on their people in which the Jewish community was the most affected. The Healthcare Bill reminds me of this because the Democrats immediately imposed a new bill that would force people to purchase health insurance, create new taxes, and cause the debt to continue to rise.

Text to World:
This relates to rest of the world in which other countries have modeled themselves after the U.S. and might also make their own healthcare bills. The bill would cause us to go further into debt and have to borrow more money from foreign nations. Doing so could potentially cause the U.S. to lose face with the other countries. In some way the healthcare bill will affect not only us but other nations too which is why the bill should be repealed.
