U.S. Involvement in Libya
Who: Obama
What: People are questioning Obama deciding to take military action in Libya.
When: March 24 2011
Where: Libya
Why: Because Gadahfi is killing his own people.
II. Reflection
Text to Self:
This relates to me in the way that I have sometimes questioned others people's action when they do the opposite of what they said they would do from the start. When Obama ran for presidency he said he would stop wars not start them but he has contradicted himself in taking military action in Libya. This causes me a bit of unease when our president does not do what he said he would do. However I do think we should be involved in Libya because Gadahfi must be stopped.

This relates to something I read about the riots in Egypt that was the cause of all the riots in the Middle East. The president was corrupt like Gadahfi and needed to step down however, he did not kill his own people to end the riots. Gadahfi is a man that must be stopped from having power because all he will do is abuse the power and hurt more people. We should be militarily involved in Libya to prevent further deaths.

This affects the rest of the world in the way that if our president contradicted himself then other countries may not trust us as much. But, I think Obama made the right decision and I think that other countries also agree with Obama's decision. With the US's help Gadahfi can be overthrown and stop his killing of his own people. We should take military action in Libya to prevent more tyrants like Gadahfi.
