Who: UK Government
What: They are thinking about arming the opposition in Libya.
When: March 1 2011
Where: United Kingdom
Why: Because Gaddafi is murdering his own people.
II.Reflection
Text to Self:
This relates to me in the way that if people were being murdered by their president I would want to help them in some way. I would want to help the Libyans to get their freedom and help them from being killed by Gaddafi. The British government is going to arm the opposition so that they can protect themselves and overthrow Gaddafi. We should help the Libyan opposition so that they are not annahilated by Gaddafi and help them reform their government so they can avoid future problems.

This relates to something I read about a group of people fighting against their corrupt government. Other governments help them to protect themselves and overthrow their evil ruler while limiting the damage done. The British government is trying to do the same thing with the Libyans so that they can overthow Gaddafi and make their country a much better place. If other countries were to help the Libyans too then the problems going on would go away much faster.

This relates to the rest of the world in the way that Libya is a supplier of oil and the protest is causing the price of oil to rise. If the rest of the world helps the Libyans then the price of oil will go back to normal. If Gaddafi is not overthrown then the price of oil will still continue to rise and cost of a lot more money. The rest of the world should help the Libyans to save themselves money and help them get rid of their corrupt government ruled by Gaddafi.
